L3 button (sprinting) does not work after change of potentiometer

Hi,

Changed my potentiometer (left joystick) and it works great after the GUI installation. BUT, the toggle on the L3 does not work. I can’t sprint, and I have disassembled the controller 10 times, can’t see anything wrong. I really think I did a great job!

What to do here?

Hi!

Are you sure that it makes good contact inside the joystick? Maybe it's not pressing all the way in.

Can you share some pictures with us?

Anyway, if you tried everything and you just won't get it to work, I would just replace the left joystick. Saves you a lot of investigating and headache. And when you are there, maybe easier to replace it for a hall effect joystick?

Yeah, I will try to post some pictures here this afternoon.

I’m thinking of byuing the gulikit joystick!? A bit expensive though. Feels like I could have just bought a new controller buy now haha.

Yeah those are great. They are more expensive but it's worth it. I fully understand yes haha. It's probably for the best to replace it tho..

It did not work so it must be the that little solder spot missing the cooper-ring,but we found the issue!

It is the same issue again everything works except Toggle L3 (B10 on gamepad tester).

So how do i find the right traces?

Indeed, the issue is found!

Here you can find some more info about that: https://www.reddit.com/r/soldering/comme...

I bought a secondhand controller with the right gen and switched the motherboard to match the controller. Works great!!

I think I &&^&@@ it up doing to much soldering on the solderpoints and ripped the copper ring.
