Stuck thinking it has wired connection

I have recently had issues with a thunderstorm that took out my internet connection and since my Xbox thinks it still has a wired internet connection but wouldn't connect to internet to play games. 8 tries resetting the settings and it won't go to wireless internet as it thinks there is a connection in the LAN port when there isn't. I then reset the console but now won't do the required update when setting up the console from factory settings. I even tried usb boot drive and no dice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you been able to find a fix? This just happened to me. I ordered a new wifi card to see if that fixes it and it comes in today.

Mine is fixed. Turns out after a complete drop down including all software updates it turned out to be a ribbon between the 2 last boards to split.. deepest ribbon cable 🤬🤬

Did you tried an actual network cable and see what happens? I would try this first. Just go to your modem and connect it with a network cable just to check. When it does have network, then you can do the actual update(s). Then remove the network cable, maybe the error would be gone by then.
