Housing/ stand compatible with 2009 iMac?

I previously had a 2009 imac, which the display randomly broke on it giving me grey screen no matter what. I have now purchased a 2010 iMac which has a broken stand. is it possible to swap the housings and/or stand between the 2? also i assume that my ssd from the 2009 is just plug in and works right? or do i need to do extra work?

It’s a far amount of work to get to the hinge which is inside the housing. Even still that’s what I would do.

As far as your SSD that should be fine. Depending on what the new system has for RAM I would boost it to 16GB while in there.

Basically, just follow this guide as the foot hinge is just behind it iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 Logic Board Replacement
