Larger version of the Nintendo DSi, released March 2010 in North America. Most repairs are accomplished with only a screwdriver and prying tools.

What needs to be replaced?

I’m pretty sure I put the battery in backwards and blew a fuse when turning on my ds while testing to see if it worked as I was replacing the bottom screen. Do I need to replace the battery, the power board, or the entire motherboard? And if the motherboard needs to be replaced does that erase all data on the ds itself?

Hi,

Here’s a YouTube video showing how to restore power to your DS.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MvvCuyreNq...

It’s not a difficult fix but you will need basic tools & the correct gauge fuse wire to complete the bridge on the fuse.

If you don’t have the equipment or tools you may know someone that has or you can take it to a repair shop.

Hope this helps
