Enter a passcode on a disabled iPhone 4 on iOS 5

I have an iPhone 4 GSM on iOS 5.1.1 that I would like to recover the data on. It is disabled and says to connect to iTunes but I know the passcode and want to enter it. The passcode is 0209 if that helps. I just want to recover some old data on it and do not want to restore and update it.

The assumption that I know how to connect via SFTP is false. I have no idea how to. Could you try to find a video tutorial? I do have a 64-bit Windows 7 Computer with iTunes 12.0.1 I think. I will install it and see if it works. I previously tried to use Gecko Toolkit which is how I got the passcode but when I tried the disabled bypass it said Ignoring Unsupported Device UNNSUPPORTED in big red letters. Maybe it’s my Java or iTunes version not being right

The iTunes version is critical newer versions won’t work. Windows OS not sure?
