ice maker compartment too warm
Ice maker at 15 degs, freezer at -6. Replaced the unit, oem, made 3 cubes and quit. Figure it is the damper or the control board, or ? How can I be definitive?
The model number is correct but the unit is French doors above, a refrigerator drawer, freezer drawer below. While under warranty had the ice maker replaced 3 times. Now it is on my dime.
Update (08/31/24)
The refrigerator side is at 35 degrees. The damper I refer to is the mechanism that controls the temperature in the ice maker compartment

@colonelr
Please confirm the full model number of the refrigerator?
As can be seen from this link there are 23 different model variations and they don't all have the same features or work exactly the same way.

Further troubleshooting: took the damper out an fixed it to remain full open overnight. Ice maker temperature = 13 degrees, refrigerator = 29 degrees. However, it had made one tray of ice. Returned the damper to normal operation.
