Hisense 58” 4K UHD Roku TV with Dolby Vision/HDR10, full-array LED, Motion Rate 120, MEMC, DTS Studio Sound, bezel-less design, and voice control via Google Assistant or Alexa.

Why is half of my screen unsaturated?

The T.V. is a Hisense 58r6e3, I bought it almost 3 months ago and one day I turned it on and the screen showed dark and white lines all over it, I looked on youtube for a possible solution so I found out that it was probably an issue with the T-con, I realized that the problem was the left screen of my tv. In order to solve this issue I put some tape covering about 10 lines of the flex connector. Thanks to that the screen is showing picture again but the left side of the tv is showing unsaturated colors, like washed out, and now I don't know how to fix that.

@chrisbrown72243 this is commonly caused by a failed gamma processor, however since you only have this on one side of the screen, it sounds like you are having issues with the driver boards. You can still try and work on it and see if another tape off changes anything. Otherwisewsie it is most likely the driver board and sadly enough, it is part of the display itself. Check it for "odd" looking components etc. The board is not repalceable by us DIY'ers since it requires specialized equipment.
