Repair and further information about the GE Profile Refrigerator PFE28KSK, a bottom-mounted freezer style refrigerator introduced in 2016, featuring French door access and an automatic ice maker. This page covers information for model numbers matching the pattern PFE28KSK****.

The freezer is fine but the refrigerator is 44 degrees.

I have a GE Profile refrigerator (PFE28KSKESS. The freezer is fine but the refrigerator is 44 degrees. I have replaced the fan in the past and checked it on mode 47. It is running at 3500 RPM. I put the refrigerator on turbo cool. It runs at 35 degrees, but if it’s not on turbo mode, it runs at 44. Check the evaporator and there’s no ice on it at all. Fans are working fine. Any ideas to check?

Hi @karl74482

Here's the mini manual for the refrigerator.

Run the service diagnostic tests as described by the manual, initially for all the relevant, designated FF thermistors, dampers and the fan, shown in the test list e.g. 0024, 0025, 0044, 0045, 0046, 0047 and check if they're all OK or not. Note: FF = refrigerator, FZ = freezer.

If you find a faulty component, here's the parts list. Scroll through the list to find the wanted part. It will have the manufacturer's part number listed with it. Search online for the part number, to find suppliers that suit you best.
