Ninth generation of iPad, released September 24, 2021, available in 64 or 256 GB models. Model Number A2602.

Missing charger port pad iPad 9 (A2602)

While replacing the charger port I lost a pad (see photo). It's the 7th pad down on the right side. Does anyone know a test point I can connect it to? Thanks in advance.

Remove the backing around the connector see if it matches this diagram I’m no expert and could be well wrong but is it left speaker 🤷‍♂️ If so removing the tape will reveal more board and your contact point . https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a5/d6/c6/...

Thanks for your help but the pins on the iPad 9 don't match those of the image you sent. I've updated the original post to show the pins behind the backing. Hopefully someone could help.

Have you got a multimeter you could check for continuity .

Obviously you’d have to gently scape away some of the conformal coating at the end of the missing trace to reveal the copper.

There is no connection to the missing pad I can make
