Here's some information that may help you to decide if you want to try and replace the battery yourself. The laptop will have to be nearly completely disassembled to do so.
The Surface Laptop 3 And 4 English Service Guide is very useful in that it warns about what to be careful of in regard to the battery when disassembling the laptop. It doesn't show how to remove/replace it however. Search for references to the battery in the document.
Here's a teardown video for the laptop that shows how to gain access to the battery but it doesn't show how to remove it. It does say in the video that it is held on by a very strong adhesive¹.
Here's a teardown video for a Surface 4 (as mentioned in the previous video) where it does show how to remove the battery. View from 10:25 minutes into the video.
As for the battery itself, search online for G3HTA057H G3HTA052H G3HTA058H to find suppliers that suit you best. The model number should be on the battery itself if you wish to verify.
ifixit has a selection of prying and opening tools if you need any
¹ Regarding the adhesive, if prying alone doesn't work that well, apply a line of Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available from electronics parts stores) along the edge of the battery to soften the adhesive and then just pry it up a little at a time applying a bit more alcohol under the battery each time, until you can remove it entirely. Do not apply heat to try and soften the adhesive.
