cut a ribbon opening the phone
When I was prying the iPhone apart into two separate pieces, it came apart at the top, folding upwards. I cut some ribbon on the right side doing this. Is this an ultimate fail?

Hi,
If you are taking about the flex cable at the top (ear piece speaker) then all you need to do is replace the ear piece flex (iFixit parts).
if you’re taking about the side flex cable (screen cables x2) then the best option is to replace the whole screen unfortunately.
Hope this helps

Yeah it was the screen cables. The battery is installed as the phone can take calls, etc. But the screen is completely deactivated. I just went ahead and did what I should have at the beginning and bought a refurbished newer generation phone. Next time though I'm confident I can replace the battery haha!
I appreciate your response Harry, very helpful.
