How can I fix my broken display (LCD)?

Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if the flickering occurs on it or not when viewing the display from the laptop. Don't forget to press the F8 key to switch the display to the external monitor.

If the display on the external monitor is OK, then switch the display back to the laptop screen and then slowly, very slowly move the lid of the laptop back and forth to see if you can make the flickering stop. If you can it may be that the lvds cable (video cable) is damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the lcd panel.

If still no good, then it still could be a loose lvds cable connection (either end, motherboard or lcd panel) or perhaps the lcd panel is faulty and will need to be replaced.

Here's a video that shows how to replace the lcd panel that may help. Doing this will allow you to check if the lvds cable is OK or loose or if the lcd panel needs replacing. Note: ensure that you do disconnect/remove the laptop battery as shown in the video to avoid causing any electrical problems in the laptop when doing the repair.

If the lcd panel is faulty search online for Huawei MateBook D15 (2020) BoB-Wai9 lcd panel (examples only) to find suppliers that suit you best.

If the lvds cable is faulty I cannot find any online but check if there's a part number printed on the cable itself and then search online for Huawei (insert the part number) to hopefully find one.
