Complete repair manual for the PSP Go, including battery upgrade and display repair instructions.

bricked psp go no power, no charging lights.

I left my psp go uncharged for a time and when i turned it on, the screen for setting the time appeared but the console ran out of battery when i was adjusting the time. So it bricked. The charging lights dont work and the console wont turn on either.

How do i fix this?, i tried charging the battery by external means but nothing changed, i also saw a video of a guy that put his psp go to charge and instead of the battery had a little fan spinning connected to the battery terminals, apparently fixing the brick. But i have no idea if this will fix it. Any ideas?

Ok i fixed it, the solution was to charge the battery with an external power supply. None of the things mentioned in the original post worked but this one.

After charging it for a while i plugged the battery, switched it on and it lighted up, now it doesn't have an issue with turning on. Solved.

Edit: this only charged the battery but not fixed the psp, check this: PSP Go - Windows doesn't recognize it, and no charging..

Thanks for sharing the answer with us! Glad that it’s fine now!

Best thing to do is to update the PSP to the newest firmware.

Hi!

Did you tried to hold square triangle start select and home, to turn it on? (please try this first).

Is it modded? If yes, did you tried to enter the recovery menu with holding "R" when turning it on?

If none of the resets worked, then the motherboard is fully bricked. You either need to replace the motherboard or the firmware… sry
