@wingsofpolo when it shut-off, did the lens retract first or did the camera "just die"? Do you remember what you were doing with the camera at that time? A sudden loss of power would lead me to check the DC-DC board. Use the guides Kodak EasyShare C913 from here to open your camera case. Then take some well-focused pictures and post those with your Question. That way we can see what you see and hopefully help you further. Of course, before you do anything like this, replace your batteries and make sure the battery cover (door) is in good working order Adding images to an existing question

Hey oldturkey03 I’m sorry for the late response Yeah, one day I was just using the camera and it just shut off, but the lens Didn’t retract back in as soon as it did that, I tried replacing the batteries and nothing it didn’t turn back on

And there is a little crack on the battery door. I don’t know if that’s a factor I did get it from a pawnshop though also thank you for the advice

Hi @wingsofpolo, If you have replaced it with brand new batteries, it could be that the capacitor is dead. We have a good capacitor wiki for more information. Please be careful as capacitors can cause a shock and need to be discharged before testing. If you have tested the capacitor and it is not working, we have a capacitor replacement guide. That guide requires soldering. It's also possible that the motherboard has failed and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, we don't have a motherboard replacement guide yet, but if you decide to attempt the repair, it would be great if you documented it for the rest of the community! I hope this helps or gives you a place to start. Thanks you.

Hey Sarah, my bad for the late response But yeah, I’ve tried tempting changing different batteries. The only type of battery I haven’t tried are rechargeable and no, I haven’t attempted repairing, but if I do, I’ll update also thank you for the advice
