why is my engine burning a lot of oil, I keep running dry on oil every few thousand miles.

@delayahu could be many things. Pull your spark plugs and see what those look like. It is possible that your engine has bad piston rings, bad pistons and cylinder walls, as well as damaged/burned valves. Do a compression test and a leak-down test. That will give you some more information about the general condition of your engine. Let us know what you find out.
