motor unit repair (no continuity)

There seems to be a break in the continuity in the motor of my DC 44 animal. Checked with the volt meter and I get zero ohms unless I wiggle the terminals around a bit.

I'm guessing some connection has been severed or there is corrosion. Although, I'm having trouble figuring out how to get at it. As far as I can tell, there's only one screw in the handle. Are there any videos or guides on how to disassemble the motor, or at least a motor casing? Thank you.

Hi @arnieasada

Here's a video that shows how to disassemble a DC35 motor that might help.

It looks very much like the DC44
