When my ps3 starts up after few reboots i have cfw evilnat 4.90 (or filmware lowwer) i have 1tb drive cx400

29 errors with code of: 0xA0801002 (time was set to these errors 2005/2006 soo clock was restarted prob)

Last two: 0xFFFFFFFF (or idk how many F's its hard to count when u have many of it) it had date 1970 or 1971

Do i need to do reflow or reball? Or it is deffirent thing? Because i wamna my PS3 get back alive only why i didnt update because i didnt turned it on because i didnt know when it would crash and i dont wanna it to crash when im playing like gran turismo

One beep then three beeps with a blinking red light, is probably APU issues...

You need to reflow or reball it.

Reflow and reballing are actual 2 different things.

Reflow: Melting the solder under the APU and let is harden again. This will solve solder cracks/colt joints. Most of the time it's a temporary fix... Not sure for how long, that depends.

Reball: Removing the APU and do all the solder work over again with good quality solder. As well for the APU as for the motherboard. Then put the APU (good positioned offcourse) back on the motherboard. This should be the fix you want. But it's way more difficult.

At this moment those 2 options are your only options to fix the APU at the moment.

i heard someone could reflow ps3 with oven idk if thats true do u maybe know? because reflow is close to cost of ps3 and reball is over cost of ps3 (used)

because i dont have any heat guns or anitin really or do u not recomend it?

Hi!

With the oven you will probably overheat other components as wel... So please do not use the oven. You can buy a heat gun on iFixit here: Heat Gun

You do need it to reflow it and thus you need the heatgun... Reballing is very difficult and thus you need more expensive tools. You could better to bring it to a shop if you do not have the equipment for reballing, unfortunately this repair is more expensive as well yes :(...

Hopefully you will get the PS3 fixed again!
