Replacing the outer shell with speakers

I followed the directions on this website on how to dismantle the quest 2 but after reassembling it I can’t get it to power on or charge. I checked the cables and they are inserted. Does touching any components cause failure? Any ideas on why or how to test/troubleshoot?
