iPod nano 7 shutting off when unplugged with new battery

Hey guys - I just replaced the battery on an iPod nano 7th generation but as soon as I unplug it, the iPod shuts off instantly. The soldering doesn't look terrible, but I'm not sure what my problem could be? I've tried a different battery and also a different iPod but no success...
