if its gaming then its normal for it to get hot but if its overheating then its cooling solution needs replacing

A bad battery will overheat when drawing current from it. Batteries go bad because the internal resistance rises. Resistance generates heat. Heat further degrades the battery. Eventually the battery expands from the heat.
Time to get battery replaced.
