My graphics card is not running for some reason

The GPU is visible on the device manager but not on the task manager, nvidia updates stopped , whn I tried updating it, GeForce just freezes, the GPU is not running, I am not sure y, it has rendered my whole laptop without a GPU, a help on this would be appreciated.
