Problem with launching multiple games / PS2 Game intros freeze

Ok so I have this problem with my copy of HALF-LIFE and Devil May Cry 2

HALF-LIFE - Disc gets recognized but when I load it it's just a black screen.

DMC2 - After launch the Capcom and PS2 logo appear but then nothing happens.

I tried cleaning the laser, disc and nothing else works.

Is the problem only present with those 2 games? Do other games work fine?

If it can't load other games as well, you probably need to replace the laser.
