Dell Latitude E7450 screen keeps turning off after booting into Window

Hey all, I have a Dell Latitude e7450. There seems to be a problem with my laptops ability to detect if the lid is open/closed. Not only do the status lights and keyboard not light up regardless of the setting, the screen goes blank after booting into windows. I plugged the laptop into an external monitor and saw an image, but even after setting “close lid” to do nothing, the laptops screen keeps turning off. So my question: is it possible to disable or remove this faulty sensor somehow? I have already ruled out any software issues. Help would be appreciated! Thanks all.

Hi Clark!

I found this answer from @oldturkey03:

Latitude E7250 doesn't recognise when lid is opened/closed

There are more people talking about this issue. Sounds like common issue for the E7450…
