Asus FA617NS Laptop. Cracked plastic hinge on screen.

I have an Asus FA617NS Laptop. ANd to my shock and frustration, I went to open the screen today to discover that the plastic covering and the hinge mechanism has started to crack. The faceplate that covers the screen. What should I do to fix this? I still need it for some online schooling and I haven't had the laptop for that long. Should I try to replace/fix it myself? Or have Asus RMA it? Should I try using glue to keep the hinge together? This is really frustrating because I really like using this laptop. See image of cracked hinge.

If the laptop is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, then go the warranty route and let them fix it.

If it is no longer covered by the warranty, then search online for Asus FA617 16" black screen bezel (supplier example only to show cost and part) to find suppliers that suit you. Being a relatively new model, there aren't many suppliers out there as the one in the link was the only one that I found. You may have better luck

I can't find a video online that shows how to replace the bezel on your particular model, but hopefully this video is close enough to be of some help.

Oh that's really cool that you found it! I'll keep this tab open in case I need to replace it. Others online suggest trying the warranty too, but also suggest if I couldn't get it fixed to simply try gluing it together, but glad to know I can find the bezel cover for it.
