Pixel 7 Display functional, but touchscreen is unresponsive.

My phone suffered some serious physical trauma. Causing the display to break. Promptly I got a fix kit + repair part. Followed the process and complemented it with a video from Hugh Jeffreys. Everything seems fine, but the touchscreen is unresponsive during testing. Any idea what could be the issue?

The display was fine, I just needed a lot more force than I expected to properly set the display connector. The repair is somewhat difficult, given the connector is set deeper into the phone chassis than most other phones. Also, the force required to set the display is discomforting.
