PTO wont engage the belt
I have a 2009 Troy Pony 13AN77KG011. The PTO cable broke, so I replaced it with a new cable 946-04173E. When I went to engage the blades, the belt is still loose. In looking at the cable, it seems like the cable from the end of the housing (where it sets/pins into the deck) to the spring that attaches to the deck brake assembly is too long. Am I missing something? I replaced the blade belt as well thinking that the belt may have stretched. Any help would be appreciated

There should be a small bracket toward the rear of the mower deck that holds the sheathed end of the cable. Should be pictured in your owner manual on page 23, fig. 7-4. Did you miss it?
