The Black+Decker CM2040 is a 3-in-1 cordless mower with a 40V Lithium battery system, featuring a 20-inch cutting width, 6-setting height adjustment, and EDGEMAX deck design for precise edge cutting. It includes two 2.5Ah 40V MAX Lithium batteries and a 15-gallon grass collection bag, offering mulching, bagging, and side discharge mowing modes.

Can I replace the broken battery terminal?

The plastic piece the battery slides into broke off. How difficult is it to replace the broken part? Thanks.

Edited to add - the black piece shown broke off the top of where the battery slides in I’ll include a photo where my husband tried to superglue it It’s not stable though.

If it’s a DIY fix, can anyone please help us find the correct part number?

Thanks!

I tried adding two photos. Can you view them?

@lorid46982 this does luckily not look like a major structural component. I would suggest a good two part epoxy. Something like J-B Weld Epoxy Putty or Loctite's Plastic bonder. The paste is usually better for this, since you can apply it within the fracture of the plastic pieces and a couple of layer across the top. To add some structural strength get a strip of the fiberglass mesh repair patches and embed that where you place the putty. Something like a layer of putty followed with a strip or two of the mesh, followed by another layer of putty.
