Apple’s new format for the 14 lineup features a 6.7-inch OLED—like the Pro Max—but the same features as the iPhone 14 with a dual camera setup and the Bionic A15 chip with a 5-core GPU.

What is handy for diagnosing problems like this is an inline USB voltage/current monitor. They are inexpensive on Aliexpress.com

Is the same adapter used for the wireless charging? The first thing I would suspect is the voltage output of the adapter.

A discharged battery is typically about 2.7V. Fully charged is 4.2V. Obviously, in ordet to get to 4.2V the supplied voltage must be greater than 4.2V. USB is 5V for normal charging. If the supplied voltage is only say 3.0V, then it will only get to about 22%.
