Samsung TV intermittent working, display issue

Hello,

I have a Samsung TV with code EU50AU5072 that has the following simptom: it works, all good, a small pixel line can be seen in a corner, but no problem. After 5-10 minutes, the display goes black ( YouTube short added: https://youtu.be/Qb4Z9ZltJkU) and enters reboot loop with 2 red flashes. After a while, it works again, then black, and so on.

I opened it, if I remove the ribbon that goes to the display, it starts, tried the tape fix, but no luck (I thought I got it 2 times, but it was fixed by itself, as before, so it's tricky with the tape)

Any ideas why it works intermittently?

If I disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the 2 driver boards, the TV stays on, but no picture on it.

So, that will be my area of focus for now ?

@weekendmec90822 I would give that a try. you can also try the ribbon cable coming from the main board.

Hello,

The solution was provided by a tehnician, someone found online, my tape fix, after some hours, did not work, so I called him, the problem was on the right side, he did some measurements and cut a part of the ribbon going to the display from the driver, the one that was shorted, it works now

@weekendmec90822 teh way it loses signal points to a bad driver board. I would try and separate the left and the right side and see if that makes a difference. We would need to see your boards to tell you how to do that since we do not see how they are connected.

A tape-off could be the only solution for this. Remember that this only works about 80% of the time
