Thermal Paste or Liquid metal?

I have an ASUS g712lv and as part of the cleaning I was going to replace the Thermals paste, then it occurred to me that being a gaming laptop it might have liquid metal instead. Thus the question, which does it use?

And is any particular rating of paste/Lmetal recommended? I have some arctic mx4 on hand, but want to get all I need before I tear into it since its my daily driver.

Rating of thermal paste really doesn't matter much. It should just be paste, not liquid metal. Arctic MX-4 should work perfectly fine.

I was actually wondering what was "under the hood" before I tear into it so I replace whats there.

If there is LM, id rather replace it with LM rather than replacing it with paste,
