As the title says over half of my TV screen is darker than the rest. The darker half starts becoming brighter after long time use but has a subbtle flicker and when turned off and back on reverts to being darker. Is this fixable or should I just buy a new TV?

@compadrekaiser could be a backlight issue. Of course there are always more pats that can cause this but we need to see what this looks like. Post some pictures of what your TV shows you with your Question. Adding images to an existing question
