GPU Heatsink Thermal Pad Thickness?

Does anyone know the correct thermal pad thicknesses for these cards? I have found conflicting information and haven't been able to find firm answers, since there are so many variants. Even going directly to support, their response doesn't seem accurate to what I found when I removed the heatsink.

If you measured the thickness and accounted for probable compression you should be able to relate that to an available item. Personally, I would attempt to use thermal paste, but there might be a voltage diff across it. I'm not sure why pads are used in place of paste.

i have read that using 1.5mm all round on the thermal pads will give you the best cooling

This doesn't make sense. GPUs need various thickness pads.

From 1mm to 3mm so your 1.5mm can't be a solution for all, except maybe if you planed to sandwich them all along.
