I have used the flashlight on my phone and saw the pixels but when I turn my TV on all it does is show faded white edges does that mean I need new backlights

Please provide make/model of your tv, as there are currently some tvs that don't require backlights (such as OLED), which may mean the issue would require a different solution, depending on your particular tv. @shannonspi85431 looks like your TV is a LG TV 55LS4500. It could be the backlights but could also be a few other things. Post some pictures of what your display shows, with your Question. that way we can see what you see. Most likely is that the backlight strips that have failed, but let's make sure.
