Removing rear axle sprockets.

I can't find out if it's referred to as a cog or cassette or what?!?

I'm trying to remove the group of gears off the back axle. I'm reading that there's a specific tool, but if I don't know which parts are supposed to turn then I don't know which tool to get.

I was going to just make my own tool as I have the means to do so, but like I said I don't know which part turns and in which direction?

Hi @brettclovis

Here's one of the better videos that shows how to remove/replace the cassette and what tools are required, that may help. There's also a link to another video depending on what type of system is used.
