What is the Antenna cable for in the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con

What is the reason that that cable is in the right Joy-Con, but not the Left?

Design decision at Nintendo. Reason known only to Nintendo engineers.

I have a theory though. They might've done that because the NFC reader is also in the right joycon. It's possible that imbedding the antenna in the circuit board caused issues with the NFC reader. Or perhaps there simply wasn't room on the circuit board to accommodate both 'wireless' features in the same tiny space. Like I said just a theory.

Here's an experiment done to increase reception on the left joycon. Which might be of interest.
