Released September 20, Apple's mainstream 2019 iPhone comes with a 6.1" LCD touchscreen, dual cameras, and six available colors. Successor to the iPhone XR.

iPhone 11 LCD replacement in progress

I ordered and received a complete LCD assembly and also the blue adhesive to repair my broken LCD. I've disconnected the old part and everything is so far so good. The LCD I've received came with what looks like the adhesive to waterproof the phone again, but is pink instead of blue, and I'm just wondering if there is a difference between the two. Do I use both, or one or the other? Thanks in advance for any help in clearing this up for me.

I'm doing the same but my y000 bit is to big and I don't know what I should do.

@davidcrosb31239 Go for a Y0000, they're the smallest I know of and the smallest I have in my collection, they're sold on the iFixit Shop or through other retailers such as Amazon

Hey, @isaiahstallings

I would suggest you use the pink adhesive to secure the device, as it was intended specifically for this device, while the other may not be exactly what's necessary. At the end of the day, I don't believe the adhesive will make a difference, but just play it on the safe side and use the adhesive that was shipped with the LCD Assembly.

Appreciate the help, I'm confident in what I'm doing again XD. What makes you say it makes no difference tho, because that is unfortunate. if thats the case why am I wasting my time with it?

@isaiahstallings Most adhesives use similar if not the same ingredients, and stick just about the same. If i were you, I wouldn't use an adhesive compound other than the one provided, as it may not work as intended with the intended device. To answer your final question there, I'm not sure why you're wasting your time, money, or energy on even looking in the direction of the blue adhesive, as the pink one should be sufficient for this project.
