Home button buzzes and phone does not ring.

I may have dropped the phone before this behavior started. Please advise - how might I fix this annoying teeth grating buzz and keep the phone sounding the way it’s supposed to on rings etc?

There should be a little switch/tab you can flip on the side of the phone that puts the phone in silent mode which only vibrates and doesn't ring. It may have been switched on impact.

I am not an Apple user and I am not sure I understand your question, so I very well may be misinterpreting it.
