The light didn’t turn on so I opened it up and noticed this was off

I only spent 15 dollars, is it worth fixing it?

Hi @sergiodenersoto

If that is all that's wrong with it then you can fix it for < $US0.50 + postage. (example only)

Search online for 100µF 16V electrolitic capacitor to find suppliers that suit you best. Most local electronics part stores would have these as they're a common value capacitor.

Note: These capacitors are polarity dependent so you need to solder it the correct way on the board. Usually the board has a +ve (positive) symbol printed on it showing where the +ve leg of the capacitor has to be soldered. To make it difficult (don't ask why) the capacitor manufacturers show the -ve (negative) leg of the capacitor (stripe down one side of can, with a - symbol in the stripe) and not the +ve leg, so just be aware of this when you go to solder it in.

Unfortunately I cannot see any markings on the board in the image you posted showing the +ve side for the capacitor board connection so maybe check on the underside or if none there at all, buy 2 capacitors in case you solder it in the wrong way the first time and it blows again because it was reversed.
