Time set coffee grinder

I am working on a DeLonghi coffee machine type ECAM22.110.SB.

Does anyone know how I can make the coffee grinder run longer on each cycle of the coffee machine?

Kind regards Martin Repair cafe Oss

User manual, page 11:

Turn the coffee taste selection dial (B6) to set the required taste.

Turning it clockwise increases the quantity of coffee beans the appliance will grind and therefore the strength of the coffee obtained.

Turn the dial to MIN for an extra mild coffee and to MAX for an extra strong coffee.

The cause is that the coffee grinder does not run long enough, resulting in only a small amount of coffee being ground.

Thanks for your answer.

@martin7020 The grinder should run for about five to seven seconds, does it? If so, I would open the grinder and clean it thoroughly. This guide helps.

Maybe the grind is set too fine?

Hallo VauWeh, that is the problem is don't run 7 seconds but only 3 seconds, i have the same machine in my home en that runs for 9 seconds and that gives a good cup off coffee. Result is that I need to extend the time of the mill and I don't know how to do that.

Thanks Martin

@martin7020 This is really strange, maybe an electronic fault... I never saw an issue like this, sorry. Difficult to say, perhaps I would replace the motherboard. Prize is about 50€.

Is that the PLC sitting behind the control screen or is that the big circuit board?

I had this problem, it's due to the timer relay forgetting how much time it needs to grind.

The only way to solve it is with half a kilogram of coffee going to waste,

You set the coffee amount MAX and set the coffee size to MIN clean the trays for water and grindied coffee and start making around 20 coffees one after the other immediately get your phones timer, and measure each time you make coffee how much time it takes to grind you will start from 5 seconds probably, eventually after the 20th coffee it will be 7, and do it until you reach from 11-12 seconds, hope this helps you, it helped me.
