Why does my phone not power up?

My phone got some dampness from sea water at the charging port which formed like blue rust so I cleaned it with 100% spirits.

I opened my phone and cleaned it all inside with 100% spirits and dried it with a warm hair dryer.

Left it in rice 72 hours. Now my phone don't power up at all.

@wes1600 not sure what spirits you've used and how you cleaned it.

The myth of rice as a tool for any kind of immersion accident has long been laid to rest as totally bogus. Rice does not work. It is the equivalent of doing absolutely nothing. For now, stop continuing to try to charge, sync or otherwise use your phone. This potentially can make a bad situation worse. This may further damage your phone.

The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassemble your phone using some of these guides Samsung Galaxy A32 5G a well as the ones from here. You must remove all EMI shields from the boards. If you do not remove those, you might as well not do anything. Remove the Main board as well as the sub board (charging board). After you've removed them, clean the whole boards, connectors and all with +90% isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide. Even so it was written for an Apple iPhone 3G all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. While you clean your boards, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc. When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Best thing to do would be to clean it with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if you do not have access to one, this will at least help. I would consider replacing instead of cleaning, the charging board. That will eliminate it as the cause for the no power. Replace your battery as well. Lithium batteries do not tolerated water immersion well and will eventually fail. Once all this is done, reassemble your phone and reevaluate. Until it is cleaned, everything will only be a guess.

Once you have properly cleaned and disassembled your phone and if you still have a No Power situation, use the Samsung flowchart to determine if this is related to the components.

Next open this document Component Layout and use your PDF readers search function. Enter the components that you will need to check in the search box so you can find their location on the motherboard.
