Samsung A51 sound will not stay on. Speaker has been replaced.

Samsung A51 speaker has been replaced. Turn phone off and then back on it will ring sometimes for a few days and sometimes just once and then no sound again. Currently no sound for phone ringing or a text coming in. Can talk on the phone.

I will try these options. The speaker has been replaced. Could the problem be the volume control button? I squeezed the otter box above and below the volume and start button this morning for no particular reason and the sound started working again.

@paul8670 well, you could always try to run the hardware test and see if that works. Dial *#0*# to get into the hardware test menu. Check your speaker and see what it does.

Next start your phone is safe mode and see if that resolve any speakers issues. If so, you know that it is a 3rd party app that may cause the issue. Here are the instructions to get into Safe Mode

IF none of that works, use the Samsung flowchart to check it out

. Just by your symptoms, this could be a flex cable issue, or a bad sub board or speaker module.
