Found out that the new cylinder blew out Not understanding why this happened.

If by new cylinder you mean a wheel cylinder inside the hub of a set of drum brakes then most likely you did not adjust the brakes properly after you repaired/replaced the wheel cylinder. The brake shows were allowed to spread far enough so as to let the new cylinder come apart.
