regarding touch not working anymore after repairs

I recently ran into some trouble trying to refurbish a A53 5G.

not too long ago we took in an almost unused A53 but it had a crack in the screen so we decided to replace the screen to make it mint again. after i tried replacing the screen with a new one the touch suddenly stopped working.

while looking around on the internet I am reading about complaints about it happening a lot with the ribbon cable, but i also replaced that (twice) and I also tried 3 different working screens(2 of them soft-oled and 1 service pack from samsung themselves)

is there anything I could still try or a common problem with this? I am having a hard time fixing this device and it feels like a waste to give up on it at this moment

possibly a bad fpc connector on the main board as these connectors are breaking all the time

Ahh so as expected they break off alot of the time?... I'm also guessing I have to pick up the soldering iron to fix this part or is it easier to fix?

@niekos16666 wont be an easy repair with just an iron, you would need hot air aswell

oh yeah that speaks for itself. it just maddens me that this is an actual thing. never had the same kind of problem with such connector since i started doing phone repairs.

still looking back to what i mightve done wrong to make it break(it unfortunately also happened another time before but we tought it was something outside of the repair)

I have been reading that if the phone updated to the new android 14 the aftermarket screens lose their touch screen. In fact that is the problem I am facing right now!
