Display cannot be replaced

Display cannot be replaced

Hello, i tried to replace my cracked display. When sliding the display unit up there was still metal frame on the main unit. I know i do not have a genuine display installed so could it be that the preowner just glued it in with the wrong glue? Or can i still remove the metal frame with force? Thanks

did you remove the pentalobe screws on the bottom of the phone, if yes then use a hair dryer to heat the adhesive under the metal plate and try lifting it up

Thanks Daniel. Yes, i did. I was suprised the metal plate stayed on , but i could easily open the display.

I will do it according to your recommendation and will heat it up to hopefully separate it
