The only issue you should encounter will be that you will lose the True Tone function on the screen. There is a way to copy what's called the MtSN number from the original screen to a replacement, but it requires a device programmer, something like the JC V1SE or the QianLi iCopy. Those start at about $85 USD, so it's entirely up to you whether that one function is worth the purchase for what will most likely be a one time use.
You might check around and see if there are any local repair shops that would do the programming for you for a reasonable cost, but otherwise you'll have to decide how important that feature is to you. Other than the MtSN number, there are no other parts pairing issues with swapping screens on an iPhone XS Max.
