Screen/Digitizer lines issue

Put a new screen and digitizer on and the switch powers up and can see everything but there are vertical lines that are kinda of rippling threw the screen. What would be the cause of this?

Hi Max,

Best guess would be that one of the two LCD ribbon cables isn't quite seated fully into its connector. When putting it back together you have to make sure the little tab on either side is butted right up against the connector before toggling the latch to lock it in place.

So my advice would be to open it back up again and double-check those connectors. If they both look good, pull the ribbon cable out and wipe it with 90% or higher concentration of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol just to make sure there's nothing interfering with the electrical signals. Here are pictures of the cables to check.

Carefully plug them both back in and retest. If it's working, button it back up and enjoy! If not, let us know what you found and we'll see if we can figure out where to go from there.
