Hi @sally74356

The filters in the bottom of the spin basket may need cleaning or replacing.

Here's a video that shows where they're located.

If new filters are required, search online for 285868, to find suppliers that suit you best. (comes as a kit of 4 filters plus instructions)

Thanks Jayeff for the answer. I was hopeful but upon watching the attached video it is nothing like my Kenmore top load washer model #110.22622 100. It is about 15 years old and I have never cleaned the lint trap or have know where it is. One thing that is somewhat similar is the agitator has a lid that you pry off with a flat head screw driver and then deep down in the agitator is a screw which I have tried everything but a socket wrench. I am going to look to see if I have on like in the video and try that. Wish me luck! Thanks again! Sally

@sally74356

Seems less of a full trap and more of a screen that allows the smaller lint pieces to pass through to be drained away e.g dissolved tissues like I'm always forgetting to remove ;-( rather than clinging to the wash etc and prevents any larger items from being lost.

I was only going by the parts diagrams for your model.

See Item # 12 Agitator/Basket/Tub parts diagram.

They call it a "plug" others call it a filter - go figure

When you click on the part linked below the diagram, there is a box that asks to "confirm the part fits" with your model and it does

@jayeff interesting….I believe you are correct sir! I can’t thank you enough for the time you have taken to help me with this issue. I am grateful and relieved. Thanks again! Enjoy your day!

@sally74356

After 15 years hopefully the nut isn't too difficult to remove.

Good luck

Cheers
