Where is the battery
I can't find the lithium rechargeable battery on these headphones. Is it in the right or left ear piece. No info on Bose site. Runtime is down to 20 minutes

@mlkirwan do that on the LEft side. Remove the ear cushion. you should find 4 screws. Two standard Philips and 2 Bose proprietary screws. you can use a rotary tool to drill them out or try a T5 security bit. Now you should have access to the battery.

Great answer! Got the battery out but there is no product designation? Does anyone know the battery number is?
@mlkirwan interesting that Bose thinks it needs to keep this a secret. Here is a quick fix for that. Measure teh length, with and height of your battery in mm (millimeters0 and let us know what you find out.
The model II uses a AHB571935PCT-01 3.7V 350mAh Those values apply to your model as well.
So did you find the according battery model for the Soundlink On-Ear? Or is it compatible with AHB571935PCT-01 mentioned above?
battery is 19mm wide, 5mm thick and 35mm long. it has three wires coming off it. Red, Black, and White. All three wires soledered to PCB. Red to +, Black to - and White to TH, whatever TH stands for (threshold?)
@geralddegeneve more like thermal control most likely the circuit that prevent the battery from overheating etc.
