Replacing home button flex cable

My iPhone 8's home button flex cable was torn so the home button/touch ID function didn't work.

I saw in an online shop that someone was selling only the flex cable, please give me guidance on how to replace it.

If the flex cable can be obtained, how would you connect it to the button?

Sounds like a whole replacement home button is needed

unless you have a binocular microscope and micro-soldering kit
