Most likely it’s can be your video card does it artifact on the screen also ?

A description of the sound and "glitch" would be helpful.
It could be a fan or it could be something heating/burning = maybe a capacitor. It is an old system after all.
The capacitor is likely in your power supply, but start by looking at your motherboard and any other plugged in boards since it is easy.
If not, swap out the PSU.
